I am a descendeant of Mary Ann Armstrong through her mother Annie Kerr, convict on the John Calvin. My father, Robert John Short (DOB:7/11/1933), grew up in Briagolong Vic, knew Mary, who told him she was a child-convict, and remembered being in prison in Ireland with her mother and being transported on the ship to Australia.
