Margaret Rees was  only 6 when she was placed at Queens. I do not know how long she was there, but she was in service to Samuel Davis a White Hills farmer in 1838. She was 14 years old. She married him in 1839 and went onto have 12 children.  Samuel was 30 years older than her. She died at 77 and samuel was about 80. He was a convict who arrived in 1819.

Margaret Rees was my 3x G Grandmother, have searched for many years, but only few months ago decided to look here. I am delighted to get the information on her, stating her parents.

She was 18 years old when dhe was married to Samuel Davis, being assigned to him earlier. As soon as he got his free pardon,he married her.

Her 2 brothers should be here also. I also had from another side of family 3 more children who were cared for here, I can only say Thank You for caring for the children.
