Meetings and Tours
Meetings are conducted regularly throughout the year.
- The annual general meeting (AGM) is held in August. Members receive
an annual report from our convenor and treasurer, and elect office
bearers for the coming year.
- From time to time general meetings are held throughout the year.
These are an opportunity for members and their friends to listen to an
interesting speaker, hear about the work we have been doing and catch up
with the committee or other members.
- Special excursions to places of interest are occasionally held and
we celebrate Fox's Feast each year in February.
- Several group walking tours of the Orphan Schools and St. John's
Park Precinct are held throughout the year and can be arranged by
negotiation for a minimum ten persons. The tour includes a visit to St.
John's Church recital (subject to availability of
church). Learn about the site and its history from one of our tour
guides. Bookings are essential.
All members and their friends are welcome at any of these events. The
Committee meets on the first Wednesday of each month in the Old Sunday
School at 5.00 pm.
