Daughter of Robert Armstrong (deceased) and Ann Armstrong, nurse at the Orphan School. Robert was in hospital when the children were admitted to the QOS on 23 January 1835. He died on 3 Feb 1835.

Siblings also at the school: John (orphan number 109), Robert (orphan number 114), Elisabeth (orphan number 104), Ann Jane (registered as Jane, orphan number 108), Hugh (orphan number 106). Robert was resistered at the Orphan school six months later than his siblings on 10 July 1835 and was discharged six months later as well on 12 May 1839. 

Claimed by a descendant of Ann Jane Armstrong, who married Jesse Haigh, soldier.
