Catherine Burns withdrew the application (letter dated 18th March 1862) for her 7 year old daughter, Catherine Cook (aka Kate Cook) to be admitted to the Orphan School due to the "delicate state of health of the child". Kate Cook married Alexander Crawford at Hobart in 1875 and they moved to NSW. Kate and Alexander had six children before Kate succumbed to Consumption in 1886 at Boggabri, NSW. Kate's surviving siblings were Mrs. Jane Thorburn of Hobart, Mrs. Mary Ann Fisher of Oatlands and Mr. John Cook, Sailmaker of Hobart.
