Philip Davis was my husband's great grandfather. After his mother Alice Dwyer died he was sent to the Queens Orphan School with his brother John and sister Mary in 1860. He married Elizabeth Aram at Longford on 18 December 1877.

Philip Davis (senior) was the "boots" at the "Cocked Hat Inn" at Breadalbane just out of Launceston. He died 6 June 1937 and is buried at Carr Villa Cemetery, Launceston.
