Ellen Halfpenny, who married convict John Smith, I believe was my GG grandmother. Their daughter Margaret married John Brown and lived in Launceston. I would like to hear from other people with links to the Halfpenny family.

Ellen Mary Halfpenny, daughter of Thomas Halfpenny (Richard Webb) and Mary Foran (Hope) ... both of Tipperary, Ireland.
I am descended from Ellen's second son Thomas, down my mother's maternal line.
Ellen Halfpenny was my g-g-grandmother. I am descended from her fourth child (third daughter), Ellen Franklin Smith born in Launceston on 30 June 1859. Ellen F Smith moved to Victoria where she married George W Lane on 23 February 1881 at Prahran, Melbourne.
I am interested to hear from others with links to the Halfpenny family.
