Amelia's mother Amelia is my gr gr gr gr grandmother, she married Richard Williams and had 2 other daughters Ellen 1836 and Eliza 1840. In the 1850's the family relocated to the goldfields Vic....daughter Eliza married mayor of Ballarat.. Amelia died there.
I have known about this story for many years but could not work out why Amelia and Richard did not come back for baby Amelia.
