I have been researching a particular branch of my lineage-James Forrest. So far I have found quite a bit out except for 1 little puzzle. According to various records he married Mary ann jones in 1833 in Ross-Tasmania.They were both convicts with 1 record saying Mary had a baby-Ann Forrest who was baptised in 1834.ann was taken to the Queens Orphan school in 1836 and her mother[Ithink ] died in 1835 or 1836.There are no records for the marriage and I would like to know what happened to ann after 1836.There are many records on James'es 2nd marriage to Bridget Houlihan on 31 May,1836 in Ross-Tas. I'm starting to wonder if James married Mary ann or if he was a stand in for someone else?
