Henry William Jones was my great grandfather on my father's side. He apparently disappeared for 47 years, from 1876 to 1923, and was presumed to be dead (Report in The Mercury, 24 July 1923, Hobart, Tasmania.)
In 1882 he married Emily Randall in South Australia. I do have a photo of him in his old age, below, and also of his daughter, Emily Jones.
