Mary Ann Judge is my great great grandmother. She was born in 1835 in Fermanagh, Ireland.

She came out from Ireland with her convict mother Ann, and her younger brother John, on the Duke of Cornwall.

She married David Gibson and they had four daughters Ann, Sarah Jane and Selina.

Jane is my maternal great grandmother.

Shortly after Selina was born David Gibson died and Mary had to put three of her four daughters into the same orphanage.

She later married Francis Mcallister and from then on was known as Mary Ann Gibson McAllister.

She died in 1899 aged  64 and is buried in the Cornelian Bay Cemetery : Reference 1B 12193 Roman Catholic Section Row CC Number 291
