Katie, along with her siblings Elizabeth and William were orphaned when their mother Mary McLoughlin died in hospital. Their father William Keefe had already passed away. Her sister Elizabeth married John Frederick Barratt, they had 9 children, the second youngest Herbert Charles Barratt is my grandfather.

Although this is listed here as Katie, she was actually Catherine born 1860. Her father was Henry Burton (Burdon) as Marys husband died 1859. She married George William Bradley (Bubb) in Hobart and died 1944. George William was the son of George Bubb who was in the orphan school, but somewhere along the track change his surname. Catherine went by the name of Keefe.
