Louisa Margaret Bishop was born to convict parents in Febuary 1860. Her parents were Joseph Bishop, from Leicestershire England and Bridget Mcguiness from Co. Louth Ireland. Lousia was christened at Richmond Tasmania. Louisa married Thomas James Hay (born 1856 New Norfolk) in New Norfolk Tasmania in May 1883. The Hay family were heavily involved the dairy industry of Hobart and surrounding areas. Louisa died in 1936, last residence being The Cascades Hobart. She is buried in the family Hay plot at Cornelian Bay, Hobart.
