Samuel Nichols is Harriet Nichols brother. Harriet Nichols is my 3rd Great Grandmother making Samuel my Great x4 uncle. His mother is Hannah Nichols nee Hancock and his father is Samuel Nichols. both parents were convicts. Hannah and Samuel Nichols were living in Richmond from 1843 onwards. Hannah was court for misconduct and sentence to the Cascade Female Factory for 14 days in 1847. Then commit Prostitution and sentence another 9 months Hard Labour at the Cascade Female Factory. Samuel was in the Orphan school from 1847-1853 he was 5 when in and about 11 in he was discharged in 1853. Harriet was 3 years on admission and  6 years old when discharged in 1850. They moved with their parents to Oatlands in 1850s and lived out their lives there. Samuel sadly died at 20 years old just after getting married. Harriet Married ex Convict Henry Sparks and had many children.
