John Orr's mother Agnes Agnew married Charles Brakey (AKA Brackey) on 3rd June 1852 at St George's in Battery Point. They went on to have 10 children (from whom I am descended) and lived in Circular Head. John appears to have been part of the family and took the Brakey name. He was killed by a tree fall aged 61 when he was prospecting inland from Wynyard. The event was reported in the North Western Advocate and Emu Bay Times 2 February 1906.
