Ann Roach was my great great grandmother. She came with her mother Annie or Ann Webb on the convict ship East London in 1843 to Tasmania.
Ann Roach married William Goodwin on the 25th June 1846 at St Joseph's Catholic Church Hobart. William was transported to Tasmania in 1842 for seven years at age seventeen. He served time at the Point Puer Boys Prison at Port Arthur. They had six children the first two boys died as infants the third boy another William was my great grandfather then there was Thomas, James Joseph and Elizabeth.
My great grandparents had seventeen children and one of their sons was my grandfather and my grandparents had thirteen children and one ot their sons was my father.

Ann Roach was my 2nd Great Grandmother. I am descended through their son William & Mary McCormack, through their son Robert Bowen Goodwin and his daughter Rosalie Goodwin
