Elizabet Sullivan had, in addition to two former convict parents, a former convict stepmother Bridget Sullivan, [Australasia] Bridget was also an Irish convict. It is unclear what happened to Elizabeth after she left the orphanage until 1877 when she married Thomas Mizen[1] [spelled with 2 z’s on the record] of Bagdad. They were neighbours of John Sattler, Bagdad.
Elizabeth has two children registered, there seem to be three children. Elizabeth disappears from view after Georgina was born [not registered, acknowledged as Thomas Mizen's daughter]
Eldest daughter Agnes Jane born 19 Jun 1877 was registered in Hobart by Elizabeth's father, John Sullivan of Fitzroy Place [now Sandy Bay] Agnes married Harold Blake of Bagdad. There were 3 children registered. Agnes died August 25, 1917 Hobart Hospital.
Second child Charles James Mizen was a railway track worker. He married Mary Fielding, there were eight children registered. He died 1951
Probable third child Georgina Frances Thorn [born Mizen] 1881-1932 married Joseph A Thorne, she died at New Norfolk.
This relationship Of Elizabeth Mizen to John Sullivan is proved by DNA to other John Sullivan descendants.
