Charles was admitted to the Orphan School the same day as Joseph BROWN and Daniel MCCARTHY. All three boys accompanied their mothers on the ship America, arriving in VDL in 1831. Charles had a brother Henry who was also admitted to the Orphan School. Their mother Ann/e Walters married convict Joseph FURNIVAL on the 14 July 1834.
