Daughter of George Deighton, convict of the ship Bengal Merchant’ and Eliza Watson, convict of the Ship Duchess of Northumberland’ born 23 Apr 1857 in New Norfolk, Tasmania.
Susannah Watson and Elijah Mansfield were married on 1 Jan 1874 at St Johns Anglican Church in Franklin by the Rev. Thomas Stansfield, before witnesses W. Cuthbert jnr. and Robert D. Cuthbert. Orphan No. 5543. Susannah Watson, age 1yr 11 months was admitted by the application of W. W. F. Murray, Colonial Chaplain. to the Queen's Orphan School in New Town, Tasmania on 28 Apr 1859, (Transfer 733 Susannah Watson, aged 1yr 6 months) she was discharged to the Cascades Factory on 3 May 1859. Susannah, age 3 years was re-admitted on 19 Jun 1860 and discharged 30 Nov 1863 to William Cuthbert snr. at Franklin.
