My grandfather is Ernest John Anderson. He was at the Orphanage (number 64) and we were told that he ran away (and joined a circus) when he was 14. I hope that there is more information about him available from the records. He married Elizabeth Jane Kerr in Newtown in 1904. They had 3 sons: John William, Ernest Guy (my father) and George Edward. The family moved to Melbourne where Ernest worked as a gardener. I believed he worked in the gardens of a fine house near Raheen in Studley Park Melbourne. He had a happy life and his sons were achievers and all worked successfully as tradesmen in Melbourne. Ernest died in 1936. He had 5 grand children, 14 great grandchildren and so far 17 great, great grandchildren.
