David Eastwood wrote:

Thomas Cantwell was one of three children accompanying his mother, convict Eliza Cantwell on the voyage of the Mary Anne III in 1840-41.  His sister Mary Cantwell was also at the Queens School for Orphans for a time.  His older brother Patrick appears not to have been at the school, he was 14 on arrival in VDL.
