I beleive Deborah Clark is my great grandmother. We have not been able to trace her before going into the Queens Orphanage and according to our family we believe she was of Aboriginal decent. We can only acknowledge her from when she married Robert Daniel Bawn on the 19 October 1888 in Hobart. There is a record of her having 4 children with the surname of Clark from 1880-1886, then 2 children to Robert Daniel Bawn, Oscar Thomas Bawn and Madeline Margaret Bawn 22 Aug1890 and 22 August 1893. Robert Bawn death notice in Mercury 8thDec1896 and there is no information on Deborah after that. Oscar was buried in the Catholic section of the cemetry at Cornelian bay with Robert Daniel beloved brother of Oscar.
Our family has been trying to find out more about Deborah fo a long time and would love to be able to find out more.
